I’ve made a lot of money for the labels. Minimum 500$ and up. So now I can’t monetise my own content, and the funny thing is there are still ads on the videos going to the labels. I mostly do this as a hobby and now have lost a lot of youtube features. I fear the worst for my youtube channel. :'( Literally, everyone, I meet I tell them about my youtube channel I am so proud of my accomplishment. I need to start praying now. 0 likes April 9, 2019 at 1:27 pm #185014 Andrew FernandesParticipant Not sure if its labels or youtube but might be a combination of both. or maybe more youtube. I am so distraught. I just pray that they won’t remove my channel. 0 likes April 9, 2019 at 1:39 pm #185016 Radu-Cristian PerdeParticipant yeah dude well youtube is in the middle of a shitshow right now. Literally, there is the creator side and the big company side and there is this whole thing with copyrights. Basically, youtube cannot control every single video and check if there is copyright enfrigment or not and all that. My theory for your channel is that they simply saw that the majority of your content is copyrighted by another party and therefore its easier for them to avoid anything claims if they just automatically enable monetization. Im really sorry for you and your channel though. I know its a lot of work in there and I truly think it sucks. I hope youtube gets back on tracks because these sort of thing is happening to creator everywhere and its all because companies are abusing the system 1 person likes this April 9, 2019 at 1:50 pm #185017 Andrew FernandesParticipant This is me being a 100% honest I know its cliche but I started youtube as a hobby originally. My plan was to gain subscribers and then post my covers when I had a lot of subs. I didn’t really think about the money aspect of things, only when I got kinda huge. I guess now I can just hope one of my covers gets a lot of views just to make me feel happy about it. 1 person likes this April 9, 2019 at 2:16 pm #185018 Radu-Cristian PerdeParticipant Dont worry dude. I dont think its a cliche. I think its the case of many people in many different aspect of art. Its just that right now the industrie is shifting and evolving and its not quite stable.. I hope your work gets recognized as it should! Good luck 1 person likes this April 9, 2019 at 7:41 pm #185021 Calvin PhillipsParticipant Anyone could a reported your channel for copyright infringement. That’s all they need to review the channel. That’s why I leave cover titles out of my videos. They cant track you that way. 0 likes April 11, 2019 at 9:58 am #185079 Isaac MossParticipant Dude I hope your channel stays up! I’ve seen quite a few of your videos and I didn’t even know that was you. 1 person likes this April 12, 2019 at 8:46 am #185104 Sayonil MitraParticipant They won’t remove your channel, that’s only for the revenue (this is happening right now to quite a few big youtubers as well). You can dm me if you want so that we can discuss these things. 1 person likes this Author Posts Viewing 8 posts - 1 through 8 (of 8 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
