My names Kris, I’m a really big fan of Avenged Sevenfold and want to learn a new solo for my birthday (3/13/19). I’m not too good at guitar I just want to learn something new for my birthday. I’ve learned the solo for So Far Away, I’ve learned the first part of the Buried Alive Solo (The part before the sweeping) and I’ve learned the second slow solo in MIA. I want to challenge myself since I just turned 17 to learn another but don’t know what else to start on that’s around my skill level. Anyways, thanks for reading. Hope all of you have a fantastic day 🙂 0 likes March 13, 2019 at 1:37 pm #184307 Ids SchiereParticipant What do you generally enjoy to play? 1 person likes this March 13, 2019 at 1:40 pm #184309 Kris CrockerParticipant Anything A7X, and when I say anything I mean anything. I like solos that are slow and meaningful (not because I can’t play guitar or anything) But I like sorta fast solos too that I’m capable of playing. 0 likes March 13, 2019 at 1:41 pm #184310 Jaylen OwensParticipant First Off Happy Birthday. Do don’t know your skill level solo wise. But maybe try learning the Dear God Solo its really Fun. I’m 16 about to turn 17 so I’m arounf you age but the dear god solo is fun. 0 likes March 13, 2019 at 1:43 pm #184311 Kris CrockerParticipant I’ll see what I can do 🙂 1 person likes this March 13, 2019 at 2:54 pm #184314 Ids SchiereParticipant Gunslinger, Natural born Killer, Danger Line, Roman Sky, Acid Rain, Seize The Day and victim may be good ones for you to do. I would also recommend to actually learn the whole song and not just the solo. 1 person likes this March 14, 2019 at 2:04 am #184325 Mohamad ZahwiParticipant Judging by the solos you’ve stated you have learned, I would guess that you’re not really comfortable playing anything fast. I would recommend a solo that has maybe just a lick or two that may be fast for you. The main solo from Carry On is the easiest thing I can think of. Alternate picking (don’t sweep pick those) the arpeggios may be a bit tricky at first but if you metronome it you’ll have it in a week or two perfectly. The solo from Doing Time may also do the job so definitely check that out. Something a bit harder than that would be Natural Born Killer. Spend most of your time practicing any of these last two, working on the fast licks. You could alternatively pick a solo that has quite many licks that are difficult for you and work on each lick individually over the course of a couple of months while at the same time working on easier solos. I would recommend Almost Easy or The Beast And The Harlot. Make sure to get accurate tabs. 1 person likes this March 16, 2019 at 4:47 am #184353 Kim LaParticipant After reading this topic i decided to try solo of Warmness On The Soul, after 1 day practising I think i’m doing pretty ok, it’s not a very fast solo, which i have trouble with. I read you like slow solo’s, so maybe it’s a solo you can try 1 person likes this March 16, 2019 at 10:44 am #184357 D KParticipant until the end, dear god, seize the day, victim, warmness on the soul, clairvoyant disease. These are some relatively easy solos that I attempted to learn at an early point playing guitar. 1 person likes this Author Posts Viewing 9 posts - 1 through 9 (of 9 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
