Jak Angelescu OMG hahaha!! That's exactly what I'm here for is to watch his right hand! I'm learning a new way to handle the pick (aka the proper way) and I'm finding I have issues with string muting. So I'm all like gawking at his hands to learn what he's doing

Joe Giumarello Often I feel stuck (if that makes sense) when trying to alternate pick and string skip. When I go to switch strings, I have a hard time doing it fluidly and controlled. Any tips?

Jak Angelescu You mean like, going from one string to the next when alternate picking? I know you said it feels like you get "stuck" and I know exactly what you're talking about. I am learning how to hold the pick the proper way and this has been a huge challenge for me. The only thing I found that helps is to make sure you don't have too much of the pick sticking out that can get caught on the strings; thus making the 'upward' movement more difficult because of more pick fighting against the string. I also learned I have to keep my fingers tucked in like his to help my speed with it. Hope this helps!

Syn Gates Unfortunately theres no real easy shortcut. You have to "play as slow as you can play it perfectly" before increasing the tempo on the metronome. It takes time but you'll get there!
