Austin Shadowens Best, easiest, and most reliable lessons ever. Been waiting for something so great. And from the one that inspired me to play now 5 years ago. ๐Ÿ˜

Matthieu Dubois Hi Syn, Do you think that learning to play new guitar technics can help me to be creative?

Syn Gates Absolutely, any new technique or piece of theory gives you more colors to paint with so try not to skip anything that doesn't sound as cool as crazy soloing techniques. You may find that the CAGED system changes your life as much as sweep picking or tapping, it did for me. Best thing you can do is have an open mind and try a lot of things and experiment. Still talking about music btw;)

Art Kalenda I am not Syn either lol but I think technique is a two headed monster sometimes. There many players that have technique to die for but are not very creative. There are also players that are not very technical like Angus Young from Ac/Dc who can write great songs and keep the listeners attention, same with Slash.I am not knocking either player at all.Having technique can give you the tools to build small shed or to build a small city.Players like Syn,Paul Gilbert,Malmsteen and many more technically brilliant players build those small cities.I hope this helps you brother.

James Stocker I know im not syn but from my limited experience yeah defo. It gives you more options on the fretboard and as papa gates always say's "It can add a lot of colour to your playing". Also allows you to learn any songs perfectly given the practise. For example if you didn't know how to sweep pick, but u wanted to learn sevenfold solo's then you're a bit stuck yanoe. It's a pain at first but in my opinion TOTALLY worth it. Hope that helps ๐Ÿ™‚
