Arturo Angulo Big thanks to syn and papa gates for being so awesome and humble, no one ever would give so much information and take the time to make such a profesional Arsenal of videos for free for the sake of helping the guitar community. Too much respect, I will for sure have my fingers on some nice workout

Diego Santiago Marinho Syn if you could read this, you are awesome! To me you are like a gate to awesomeness in life (got it?). Where I live (Brazil) things are complete shit, murder everyday, violence... and I am not in a good mood these days, but you, and Avenged Sevenfold means so much to me, I went to 2 concerts of a7x in Brazil, you are a dream to me! (Literally I’ve dreamed many times with meeting a7x lol). Good life with your new son!

Cody Weidner There any tips on getting comfortable with switching positions, like with the string skipping ? My mind gets jumbled when its time to string skip and idk if there’s a trick to it
Syn Gates
Reply hidden. Show this reply
Syn Gates Unfortunately it just takes time and slow practice. You can however try writing string skipping patterns of your own, this will develop your ear, songwriting, and style while your working on technique

Nate Stranieri I’ve been trying to figure this out also? I’m pretty sure he uses it in Sieze The Day at the end but I have no clue as to what it actually is.

Elton Douglas this parts of rise and fall in the scale is that it kills me and makes it impossible and I can not do it, any tips synyster?
Elton Douglas

Elton Douglas Oh my God, you really talking to me !?
Syn Gates
Reply hidden. Show this reply
Syn Gates It will seem impossible for a long time, this took me forever. You have to practice slowly and CLEANLY. Don't speed up until you can play it perfectly without much unwanted guitar noise. Hang in there you'll get it!

Héctor Borges i´ve always liked tapping, actually i used to do something like tapping even before i learn my first chord XD but when i improvise with an electric guitar i like to tap in the scales i know, mostly with c major and penthatonic, i have an acoustic guitar so its really hard try the tapping there i hope i can buy an electric guitar soon, but they are really expensive in my country 🙁 BTW That was Awesome Syn!! You are one of the persons that when i see play makes me want to be that good (Sorry for my terrible english grammar jeje)
