Understanding and Reading Tabs – Lesson 5

Simple tab reading to get you started.

Syn’s Tips

All of these lessons are supplemented with Tablature demonstrating the nuance of the material. In order to understand what we are teaching you, this must be broken down at a granular level and Tablature and Notation are the best methods of doing so.

Head to the "Lesson Comments" section below and help each other out! You guys will learn much faster by asking questions and showing each other the way! Even teaching someone benefits you because in order to explain it, you must thoroughly understand it and thats a lot different than merely performing the skill. We can all talk, but that doesn't mean we can properly teach good Grammar and Punctuation.

Nick Shepley I actually can’t read tabs because when I first discovered them; I was learning the solo for Jordan by Buckethead. For those who don’t know the song; tabs get pretty ridiculous to follow with 8 finger tapping.
