2 Cents by 2 Gents Lesson 43-Introduction to string bending and vibrato!

Synners This is a little project @Jesse Salmons and I had for a while. Hope you enjoy it!
Also..youtube is an ass and won't let me upload in HD sorry...
Cool, I didn't know you can make circles with vibrato. The triple reverse bend PG does is hard to time right. I tried it a few times. And the one where reverse bends slowly and only the last beat or the first of the next measure he hits the next note. Never heard that before, super nice
Glad you liked it! And yeah...Vai is out of this world!

If I may I think This technique requires some sstamina/power int he fingers. I seen a guy borrow my guitar one time and he sliced his finger open trying to serenade his gf
Poor guy...he did a Zakk Wylde XD

I loved how you talked about vibrato was very personal and showed us the examples of Vai and BB, both amazing guitarists with beautiful vibrato but so different !

i know you’ve been really working hard your vibrato and it really shows.

question for @Jesse Salmons.... how long would you say it took you to get really good at using vibrato within a bend ?

It took some time for sure, i cant say exactly how long but it was a while. The solo to “another brick in the wall part 2” was a regular part of my practice schedule for months until i became confident in my bends and vibrato. David gilmour is a master of these 2 techniques, and i can gladly say his songs were great teachers

Great video guys!
It makes me want to torture myself trying to get a decent vibrato :)...I'm gonna go back to practice Parisienne Walkways, Gary Moore literally gives all the expression to that song using both techniques, bends and vibrato
