Showing you what I've been working on for months now. Not at all satisfied with this but I keep on working. I can play it up to speed when warmed up enough but I have serious trouble playing well in front of a cam lately.
I've set myself a new goal. Basicly @Ids Schiere and @Jak Angelescu inspired me to do this. I have a small list of cover songs I want to learn FRONT TO BACK and standing up. After I have like five songs I feel safe and good playing them I want to do like a mini concert playing them one after the other. Don't wanna do a live stream but it is supposed to be a one take... Man not sure if I can pull it off!
So your idea of having riffs between lead sections is exactly the answer I never knew I was looking for. I was getting frustrated because I didn't know how to link sections between songs. But now this is exactly what I needed as a bridge. Now to get good at actually creating riffs .
I am so exicited for the new Matt Heafy Signature Epiphones. They will all come with Fishman Moderns with a New MKH Look and will have evertune options. Come in 6,7 string versions in white and black. Gotta get my hands on one.
Practiced quite a bit today. So many exciting things to come. Working on an exercise based on the CAGED lessons. Learning a cover and writing my first complete metal song. Wish I could play it though. xD
Couldn't get the apprenticeship at the company I wanted. This weeks I Prevail concert will most likely bei cancelled due to Corona. Will probably Not get my Money Back because I bought the Ticket overprized on eBay.
Can this day get any better?
Just uploaded a new riff to show you what I've been practicing lately. Also working on Alt Picking I with Metronome, an original song and the CAGED chords. Hopefully videos to those will be up soon too.
So there is a slight chance I get my LTD guitar replaced by Thomann and I am thinking about getting an Epiphone Matt Heafy 7 string. Do you think that is a good idea? Cause I mainly use my current guitar for drop D stuff. Don't even know common tunings of a 7 string...
