I've been making sure to practice with the metronome a little each lesson, and it seems to be paying off! Woo!

This was utterly terrifying to make because talking in front of a camera is not my strong suit, but I really, REALLY wanted to branch out and participate in a contest, so, here it is! For my contest entry, I used Lesson 20, Overview of the Pentatonic Scale. I've been having so much fun playing around with it in my practices! :)

Is it common to play your own piece of music so much that it starts to sound stupid to you??
Been having a pretty stressful last few days, but I'm hoping to remedy that and come up with a little something to submit for the contest before the time is up.
It won't be much, but I just want to participate and feel like I did something! All the entries so far are so great. 
Merry Christmas to myself -
I wasn't gonna post this because it felt like bragging, but I've also been saving for months and (like a lot of others) I've wanted a Syn Gates Custom since I was a teenager and finally got my hands on the one I've been eyeing since it came out.
Am I in over my head with the Floyd Rose? Yeah, a little bit. Am I gonna let that stop me? Fuck no, I'll figure it out.

Not that this is at all guitar-related, but hi, I got hitched yesterday.
Late night thoughts as I finish up Lesson 16 and practice a little before bed: I've learned more here in like a month than I have in the handful of years I tried to teach myself. We're so lucky to have this site, y'all. @Syn Gates @Brian Haner Sr. , and everyone else who makes it possible... thank you. Seriously.
Posting that first riff, no matter how sloppy, is kinda terrifying.
Like getting out of your comfort zone x1000.
But I done DID IT.
Just finished up lesson 12 in the beginner course, and I'm having a blast playing around with the two chords I just properly learned!! A very tiny step, but it's progress and I'm stoked!
