I have put myself in guitar school all over again! Instead of feeling pressured to get solos completely perfect, I am giving myself assignments for certain things and my assignment for this week was to get the rhythm of the song up to speed and played standing up as if I was in a performance. Next week I will start really nailing on the solo! I already know it but I can't play it up to speed yet very well.
I dedicate this video to @[4668:@Alicia Willis] who inspired me to have fun and let go and goof off if I want to be myself. I also dedicate this to @[59877:@Kat the metalhead] who doesn't ever give a shit what people think about how she looks or how she plays. She rocks hard on the camera and she is always true to herself. Something that I have forgotten about over the last few years.
Just got off a conference call with one bad mofo on the team! Super happy to be able to be the Hermes of this website! My brain is a little jiggled but nothing that a glass of wine and some guitar work can't fix!
Another five hour day in the books. Today's practice wasn't as good because my mind felt like it wanted to be elsewhere. That's when I shut it off. It only started wandering because my economy Etude of 16th notes was super tricky and discouraging. But as the saying goes: "When it gets hard you know you're halfway done." It got better after about an hour of practice
Playing guitar is not about "What can I accomplish today?" but moreso "What can I learn today?" If we constantly live in the mind of achievement and not growth, we stress ourselves out rushing to get to the end. And by doing so, we miss all the important lessons along the way.
Literally selling my soul to music. I can't believe the overwhelming support and help the students gave me about Anubis. I actually fixed my ESP and she plays just fine now. I saved $95. I want music more than ever. And I spent so much time just absorbing these lessons and the forums. There's no excuse. I don't just have two teachers; I have 39,000 teachers.
Spent some time organizing my guitar cases, putting the straps and strap locks on all my guitars, practicing for the studio, and a blues lesson. Got my homework figured out and excited to dive in tomorrow
Just spent nearly 2 hours dissecting this website and making notes for the team about bugs and features you all have mentioned and I have noticed. I learned that some things I mentioned previously were available on desktop versions but not mobile and I was basing my original script on the mobile version woops
