This is from a rough practice session. Spent about an hour doing it over and over- this is one of the better takes. At the end I was about to go back, but I felt called to noodle around a bit first. I very obviously hit a few wrong notes, but it is what it is 😎. I'll post other stuff in the coming days and then come back to this song in about a week or so (I'll be working on it every day). I'll be sure to stay in tempo next time, too lol. This is to keep a tangible track of how my playing real songs improves. Thanks for watching.
Wanted to cover this for a while! I use this piece as a warm-up and general practice piece anytime I play because it's great for stretching, sliding, and especially vibrato! I'll post a tab shortly once I write it all down, as I worked it out by ear originally! If there's any questions, let me know and I'll do my best to answer, and if you give this a go, let me know how it works for you! :) Audio - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FY8l5zgCc5E
A day late due to finishing up college stuff, but here's my next part of my CAGED System understanding! A lot of rambling and going back and forth here as I try to make sure I know what I'm doing and talking about, but I think I got there eventually! Now I just gotta expand and experiment with changing positions and switching between pentatonics and arpeggios, you can do that right? If there's anything I've missed or gotten wrong, please let me know! I wanna be able to get the knowledge down so I can start trying things out, learning and doing better! Also, I really need to use Dark Star more often, this guitar's got such a nice sound that I've overlooked forever!

Always wanted to solo on top of Synysters Gates' solo in the spirit of the original track. I highly suggest anyone to try this if their inspiration is out of whack like mine 99% of time.
Analysis of by the way by the red Hot Chili Peppers. Basically did the usual thing which is looking at the chord progression and looking for plagal and perfect cadences. Since this song isn't that complicated It's a lot shorter than usual
For my homework I really was supposed to focus on incorporating more bends and including a lick he taught me in a written solo. I hope you like it! Feedback encouraged🤗🇺🇲🤗
I decided to post a video of the process of me learning and cleaning up /tightening a new technique. This one I admit I am still having some trouble with but am getting the hang of. real tricky for me to get the two highest notes out and sweep back down through this one but just needs repetition. My muscles are used to other sweeping shapes and this one definitely will pay off to sound better having the notes all picked, but damn. totally explains why nobody else could play The Wicked End solo correctly 😂😂 will be practicing this one again.
Finally back to playing now that my chest ins't trying to end me XD. Thought I'd go back to the CAGED system as I've covered it briefly before but wanted to really work on making sure I understand how it works and how I can use it! Here, I go over the chord shapes and how moving the shapes to different positions creates other chords, and how this process can create all of the chords in different places! I apologise if my words don't make sense, it sounded better in my head. I also apologise for my sucky knowlegde of some chords, I'm working on doing better! So long as I've got this all right, I'll be moving onto each chord's arpeggios next, and then hoping back to scales so I don't burn out! (And hey, don't drop the ball this time, me XD)
This one had me going for a little over an hour and my fingers are definitely TORN up from the last few days, but well worth it. I’m starting to see the chor...
Man I shit you not I have been working on this for the last two hours and it’s 3am. These are the lessons I have needed to take my playing to the next level ...
I just love my teacher that's all I'm going to say. He issued me a way to improve my speed and I got 42BPM faster in just a few hours of practicing. This is the fastest I've ever played!!
Fade to Black Intro by Metallica
Tell me what you think about my editing skills. It’s the first time I ever try changing the camera angles!😄
Here's the burn it down harmony analysis. I'll make a tutorial for the intro later today
🗣Turn your volume down !!!!! This is a piece of a practice video (as always, and I like it loud lol) Anyways, I’ve been working on getting the muted power chord changes sounding better, I hated the awful screech I would get when I would just slide to the next power chord so I’ve really been focusing on trying to pick up my hand instead of just lazily sliding it. Not sure if this is a good technique as I couldn’t find the exact answer to this problem anywhere. But I was excited it sounded better with less screeching during my movements on the muted portion.
S.A.T.O solo by Randy Rhoads
Jammed to this song this morning and forgot how fun it was to play! Been working on alternate picking as well as my legato which are both crucial to play a solo by Randy Rhoads! Dont worry @[11:@Brian Haner Sr.] my angels cover is coming😂
My lessons of help so much with figuring out songs! I hope you enjoy this! I have wanted to learn this song for years!
