Johnny B Goode
some practice from a couple of weeks ago. I can’t believe I can play it at full speed more or less decently 😄
I wanted to give an update to one of the videos I posted last week to a discussion thread on the etudes. This one is alt picking 1 (plus a little extra because I was feeling frustrated tonight). I'm still working to improve my speed. Improvement seems slow but hopefully I'll be able to look back on this and see a real difference. And this past week I got so much advice from you all here it was wonderful, hopefully I won't let it go in one ear and out the other. So thank you everybody for being the awesome people you are and keep the suggestions coming. ~Kai
Haven’t posted in awhile. This is still a work in progress, I’ve been working on this for the past week. I’ve been trying to get better with my hammer on’s as well as palm muting. I’ve been doing exercises in lesson 18 and 22 and It’s definitely helping! I just wanted to share my progress with you guys ! I’m going to continue working on this and eventually try it with a backing track 😧 I might even put some actual clothes on 😂

A clip from our first show.
this is a clip from my bands first show last night. it was a great experience. 10/10 would totally do again
So following the last video and my sh*t bends I decided to practice them a bit today xD I watched the lesson 43 "Introduction to bending strings" again, but I still cant hit the notes I want all the time! I guess I keep practicing :P Anyway instead of recording the same solo I tried another one that have enough bends including 1/2 and full bends.
trying to get this Etude right. What I like about strict alternate picking this is that it's really easy to accent the notes on which the beats fall if you play with a metronome. But I really have to start from the beginning again.
My progress on chapter four its not the best whatsoever but i tried... @avengedsevenfold @synystergates . . . . . #synystergates…”
This is what ive been working on for the last couple months i was nervous as hell to post cause ive never posted myself playing guitar on anything but i decided i need to come out of my shell.
Did something different this time and used 3 different guitars. At the end is my new guitar I bought on Saturday. They all sound great.
Here's the analysis of the harmony in buried Alive You can vote for the one I'm doing this week here
Recorded once and the camera was terrible so I tried again. Did a 2nd take and that shot was no better. So I just did the audio for you.
My remake of the cover I did about 2 years ago! Definitely one of the most beautiful solos ever created... Synyster Gates foREVer!!! Guitar: Schecter Synyste...
new on the hunt cover with backing track!
re-did this after practicing for like 2 weeks and felt so much better! Hope you like it!
It's a bit late but here it is. I'm doing Buried Alive tonight too
I last attempted the Intro to Buried Alive eagerly with a pick, but had some suggestions to try it in its finger playing style. This is a little rough, and I apologize for that. I just wanted to show some progress. Any suggestions for other finger style songs would be awesome!
